The Outdoor Adventure Kit is perfect for kids aged 8 and up. You will find content that is aligned with grades 3 - 6 curriculum. They meet the consumer safety testing requirements for Canada and the United states and conform to ASTM F963.
Each kit, developed by parents, educators, and outdoor experts, is based on our core values of Leadership, Resilience, and Creativity. Our content is reviewed by our Curriculum Director who is a pedagogical expert, educator, and outdoor enthusiast. The kits are kid-tested, parent-approved and have been endorsed by educators across North America.
The Field Guide is filled with vibrant cartoons, engaging informational graphics, and stunning nature photography, along with plenty of space for kids to doodle, take notes, and personalize their guide. Each kit includes three themed sections, each featuring: Skills Checks (learn something new), Step-By-Steps (try it outdoors), Fun Stuff (wacky games and activities), and a nature craft with downloadable templates. Inside the back cover, kids will find a checklist for tracking achievements (perfect for awarding a new merit pin), plus links to an educator guide and a recommended reading list.
The gear is durable and weather-resistant and designed for repeated adventures. With care, many items can be used as kids grow into adulthood! Try doing the same activities in different locations, weather, or seasons for a totally different experience. We love to experiment with the kits in the backyard and the backcountry! They are super fun and compact to take on adventures near and far.

We are born with a curiosity to explore.
Being an explorer is having the bravery to forge new paths, the courage to try new things – and then try again. It’s imagining the boundaries and then recreating them. In this modern world, sometimes adventure can be hard to see. Yet from our backyard to the backcountry, adventure is all around us.
Making outdoor play fun, easy, and adventurous – this is why The Wild Life exists. Join us, and find your WILD LIFE.
